Press trips

Press trips
built on a story.

A media visit works only if the journalist has a story, an interviewee and time to write. We build the visit around those three — logistics is the next question, not the first. Nordic Event Management has produced 200+ events across 12 countries and ranked 9th among the 13 best Nordic event agencies in 2025.

Press trips

Story
first, programme second.

A press trip is an invited journey or occasion whose purpose is editorial coverage. It differs from a creator visit in one decisive respect: publication cannot be agreed. A journalist writes when the material holds, so the substance of the visit matters more than its setting.

We start from the news angle: what is new here, who it matters to and why now. Only then do we choose the location, the interviewees and the schedule — not the other way around.

We produce the visit as a whole: journalist list and invitations, news angle and press pack, interviews and schedule, transfers and accommodation, photography, and coverage tracking afterwards.

Our clients are communications leads, PR and communications agencies, destinations and hotels, and brands with a genuine story to tell.

Why us

An editorial outcome.

The angle is written first

If the angle does not survive a critical read, the visit will not produce coverage. We test the angle before invitations go out and say plainly when it does not hold.

The right journalist list

Invitees are chosen per outlet and per journalist: do they write on this subject, when is their deadline, and what do they need to file.

Time to write

The programme leaves working time, connectivity and a quiet room. A packed day produces less coverage than a spacious one.

Materials ready

Press release, fact sheet, interviewee bios and publication-ready images are delivered during the visit, not a week later.

What we produce

Media visit formats.

Destination press trip

A one- or two-night media visit to a destination or production site: interviews, tour, photography and press pack.

Lapland press trip

A seasonal media visit where the destination itself is the story. Filming permits, contingencies for weather-dependent elements and transfers are prepared in advance.

Press conference

A morning or afternoon occasion where the news is told and interviews are handled under one roof, timed to editorial deadlines.

One-to-one interviews

Curated individual interviews for key outlets when a group visit is not the right format.

International media visits

Visits to Finland for foreign journalists, or Finnish media travelling in Europe, both led by a single producer.

Tracking and reporting

Coverage collection, reach and an assessment of visibility delivered as a summary after the visit.

A representative visit

One night, three interviews and four articles published within two weeks.

A typical press trip runs one to two nights for six to twelve journalists. Invitations go out three to four weeks ahead, the press pack is available with the invitation and images are delivered by the morning after the visit at the latest.

  • 1–2 nights · 6–12 journalists
  • Invitations 3–4 weeks ahead
  • Coverage report

How we deliver

Four weeks to coverage.

First the news angle is written and the interviewees decided. If those cannot carry a story without the trip, the trip will not fix it.

Then we build the journalist list, time the invitations against deadlines, design a programme that leaves working time, and prepare the press pack and imagery.

Four weeks is the shortest realistic lead time. For seasonal destinations and international visits we recommend two to four months.
